The philosophy that stands behind Progressive Web Apps is not fresh from the oven. The concepts like these have been revisited many times. The term Progressive Web Apps itself (or shortly PWA) is not actually official name. It was coined originally by Google to refer to a concept of “creating a flexible, adaptable app using only web technologies”.
There are several benefits of implementing the PWA features:
- After the app is installed, there is significant decrease when it comes to loading times.
- When an app date is ready, updates are targeted on changed content only.
- The concept is designed so the number of engaged users is higher, and hence better conversion rates as well.
